<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device which can reduce difficulty to discriminate between a blue part and a black part when a monochrome image in grayscale is generated from a color image. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device includes: a monochrome image storage unit for holding the monochrome image; a target pixel extraction unit for extracting a pixel whose B component is greater than an R component and a G component, and the R component and the G component are smaller than a first threshold value from the color image as a target pixel; a correction value determination unit for determining a positive correction value to adjust a luminance component based on a difference value between the B component and the R component and a difference value between the B component and the G component at the target pixel; and an adjustment image generation unit for generating a luminance adjustment image from the monochrome image by converting the pixel data corresponding to the target pixel into data in which the correction value is added to the pixel data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
