<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide single chain antibodies generated by a method for producing single chain immunoglobulins in mammals. <P>SOLUTION: Antibodies are produced by a method for producing VHH single heavy-chain antibodies in mammals, the method comprising a step of expressing a heterologous VHH heavy chain gene locus in antibody-producing cells of mammals. In the produced VHH single heavy-chain antibodies, the VHH heavy chain gene locus includes a VHH region of camelidae origin, a J region of non-camelidae origin, a D region of non-camelidae origin, and a constant heavy chain region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
