<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension board with a circuit in which efficiency in manufacturing is improved and a cost in manufacturing is reduced by securing the freedom of design while adopting an optical assist method, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The suspension board 1 with the circuit is obtained by successively laminating a metal supporting board 11, an insulating base layer 12, conductive patterns 13, and an insulating cover layer 14; forming an optical waveguide 19 on the metal supporting board 11 separately from the insulating base layer 12, the conductive patterns 13 and the insulating cover layer 14; and installing a light-emitting element 20 so as to optically connect with the optical waveguide 19. While a head slider 27 equipped with a magnetic head is mounted on the suspension board 1 and they are all mounted on a hard disk drive, information is recorded in a hard disk 26 by the optical assist method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
