PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of realizing both a braking/driving performance during mud driving and snow driving and a driving stability during on-road driving, respectively. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has two peripheral major grooves 3 continuous in a tire peripheral direction and individually arranged at both right and left sides of a tire center 2 of a tread surface 1 and divided lands 4 on these peripheral major grooves 3 and formed as either a rib or a block having lug grooves 8. The multiple fine grooves 5 inclined toward both right and left walls in respect to the tire peripheral direction are arranged at an area of at least 50% of an entire peripheral length of each of the peripheral major grooves 3. Fine grooves 5S arranged at both right and left walls of the two peripheral major grooves 3S at the tire shoulder of the peripheral major grooves 3 have the same inclined direction in respect to the tire peripheral direction as seen viewed from above in a tire diameter direction. Fine grooves 5C arranged at both right and left walls of the two peripheral major grooves 3C at the tire center side have opposite inclined directions in respect to the tire peripheral direction as seen viewed from above in the tire diameter direction.
