PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanomaterial-containing bulk material maintaining characteristics and functions inherent in nanomaterials; and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: First, a nanomaterial dispersion is prepared by dispersing nanomaterials in a liquid by using a dispersing agent (dispersion process). Then, the nanomaterial dispersion is freeze dried to obtain a porous bulk material (freeze dry process). In the porous nanomaterial-dispersed material thus obtained, the nanomaterials are held in such a state that characteristics and functions are maintained, in the porous bulk material of the dispersing agent, and the porous nanomaterial-dispersed material can be easily produced at a low cost.
