<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug capable of more accurately sensing a temperature of a blade of the plug, for an overheat protection operation which quickly responds to a rise in temperature of the blade. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The plug comprises a plurality of blades inserted and connected to a receptacle for wiring, and supplies power to an electric apparatus which is a load through the blades. An insulating stage is provided which is formed of an insulating material and in which a base end of the blade is embedded and supported integrally with the body case of the plug. Moreover, a temperature switch, which is electrically connected to at least one of the blades to cut off electrification to a load connected to the blade when a predetermined temperature is reached, is brought into contact with and secured to the insulating stage supporting the blades.
