PURPOSE: A plasma display apparatus and a method for driving thereof are provided to improve drive efficiency by supplying a signal to an address electrode in a sustain period. CONSTITUTION: In a plasma display apparatus and a method for driving thereof, a plasma display panel(100) scan electrodes parallel with each other, a sustain electrode, and an address electrode in which the scan electrode and the sustain electrode are crossed with each other. The sustain signal comprises a rising period, a sustain period, and falling period. A second driver(120) supplies a data signal to an address electrode in an address period of a sustain period. |
