PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part installation related work apparatus which can prevent operational defects caused by mistakes in the combination of a work head and work equipment and the occurrence of a stop of the whole apparatus caused by an error. SOLUTION: In this work apparatus, a memory unit 24c stores the combination of the type of the work head H and the type of the work equipment E corresponding to the content of the work on a substrate PB. A determining unit 24d determines whether or not the combination of the type of the work head H detected by a head type detection means and the type of the work equipment E detected by an equipment type detection means matches a combination stored in the memory unit 24c. An operation regulating unit 24e regulates the traveling operation of a moving stage 11 by an operation control unit 24a when the determining unit 24d determines that the combination of the type of work head H mounted to the moving stage 11 and the type of the work equipment E mounted to a base 3 does not match a combination stored in the memory unit 24c.
