<p>A seat reclining device, wherein, without addition of constituting parts, a spiral spring can be retained on the axis of rotation of a cam to suppress contact of the outer periphery of the spiral spring with the inner peripheral surface of a lower arm. The seat reclining device is provided with a spiral spring (34) having an inner end section (34b) engaged with a cam (32), an outer end section (34a) engaged with a lower arm (11), and a wound curved section (34c) provided between the inner end section and the outer end section and rotationally urging the cam in one direction. The outer end section of the spiral spring has a rectilinear section (34a1) extending continuously from the curved section. A housing section (11a) houses the rectilinear section and has a lead-out recess (11b2) making contact with an inner peripheral side-surface of the rectilinear section and also making contact, at that position of the lead-out recess which is closer to the outer end section than the portion at which of the lead-out recess makes contact with the inner peripheral side-surface, with an outer peripheral side surface of the rectilinear section.</p> |
