The method involves fastening a metal element (26) at a movably supported centrifugal mass (2), where the element is made of soft metal. A magnetic field is produced by a permanent magnet (17) so that the metal element is operated and the centrifugal mass is moved. Another magnetic field directed opposite to the magnetic field of the permanent magnet is produced by a switch-off coil (19), while the metal element is arranged in an area of the permanent magnet. The metal element is moved to the permanent magnet by the centrifugal mass. An independent claim is also included for a motor comprising a movably supported centrifugal mass and a base element.
