Disclosed is a power supply device capable of increasing the output power more efficiently compared to existing devices. The power supply device comprises: an AC generator (100) including an AC generating unit (110) and a rectifier (120) that rectifies the alternating voltage generated by the AC generating unit (110) to output a DC output voltage; and a DC/DC converter (201) that converts the output voltage of the rectifier (120) into a DC voltage with a different voltage value and outputs said DC voltage, wherein the output voltage of the rectifier (120) is made higher than the output voltage of the DC/DC converter (201) and stepped down and output by the DC/DC converter (201) according to the rotational speed of the AC generating unit (110) and the amount of power supplied to an electrical load connected to the DC/DC converter (201).
