<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a handkerchief a three-dimensional figure by which a plane handkerchief is turned to a three-dimensional one such as a suspending-type hand towel or a mascot-like one via a suspending string-housed pocket and a drawn image made on the pocket. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for making a handkerchief a three-dimensional figure includes: placing a polygonal pocket cloth 2 smaller than a handkerchief on the vicinity of the two intersecting corners of a handkerchief body 1; circularly putting a linear member into the inner surfaces of the superimposed cloths so as to come in contact with the end of the pocket cloth; joining the edges of the superimposed cloths in at least one curved line so as to make the pocket cloth form a pocket having an opening narrower than the width of the handkerchief in the center direction of the handkerchief body so as to form a suspending string-housed pocket-attached handkerchief with the linear member put therebetween; and inverting the pocket to make the handkerchief body 1 serve as a three-dimensional hand towel suspended via a suspending string 3, and house the handkerchief body projecting out of the pocket into the pocket cloth 2 to make it three-dimensional one.
