PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid valve stamping when the rotation of a cam is stopped in a valve system, in which a cam rotated or rocked by a motor separately provided from an internal combustion engine opens and closes a valve. SOLUTION: In this valve system for the internal combustion engine in which a cam rotated or rocked by the rotation of a motor separately provided from an internal combustion engine opens and closes a valve, when a rotating position of the cam is within a range for opening the valve, a rotating force is applied to the cam by magnetizing a nose of the cam and the valve to the same pole.
