<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front pillar for a vehicle, which can assure a sufficient amount of electrodeposition solution in a closed space in the center of the front pillar and is improved in connection strength with lower parts and in connection strength with upper parts. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The front pillar 11 has an outer inside flange portion (windshield mount portion), an inner inside flange portion (pillar inner inside), and a closed space and a door seal mount portion 45 both formed by superposing the outer outside flange portion 82 and the inner outside flange portion 68 on each other. The door seal mount portion 45 includes an upper reinforcement member 43 interposed between upper parts, a lower reinforcement member 44 interposed between lower parts, and a gap flow passage 47 communicated with the closed pace 131 by partially separating the outer outside flange portion 82 and the inner outside flange portion 68 at a longitudinal center part.
