<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency correction system and receiver capable of suppressing the increase in manufacturing costs and preventing operation of a crystal oscillator from being varied. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of read timing set by an error read timing control section 31, a frequency error ΔIF is read from a demodulator setting register 26 to a ΔIF extraction section 34 and on the basis of a frequency RF of a reception signal being received at present stored in a storage section 32 and the frequency error ΔIF or the like, a frequency error Δf of an oscillation signal of a crystal oscillator 6 caused by aging of the crystal oscillator 6 is calculated. If it is determined that the frequency error Δf is equal to or greater than a threshold, the frequency error ΔIF corresponding to a channel of the reception signal being received at present is read from the storage section 33 and on the basis of the frequency error ΔIF, setting values R, N being written into a tuner setting register 16 and the demodulator setting register 26 at present are updated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
