<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To capture and release gas using an aqueous solution containing quaternary ammonium salt as guest molecules. <P>SOLUTION: The method of capturing and releasing gas includes a first process of bringing the aqueous solution of the guest molecules into contact with gas, cooling it at temperature higher than 0°C to form the hydrate having captured the gas, and forming slurry with the hydrate dispersed or suspended in the aqueous solution or water; and a second process of heating the slurry formed in the first process to melt the hydrate in the slurry, releasing the gas captured in the hydrate, and forming the aqueous solution of the guest molecules. A part of or all of the slurry formed in the first process is subjected to heat exchange with a part of or all of the aqueous solution of the guest molecules formed in the second process, the aqueous solution of the guest molecules cooled in the heat exchange is used as a part or all of the aqueous solution of the guest molecules, and the slurry heated by the heat exchange is used as a part of or all of the slurry in the second process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
