PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a noise during a detection, in an automatic process of a compact microarray. SOLUTION: The invention includes a carrier support member used for the detection of an interaction of bio-related molecules by using a carrier to which the bio-related molecule is immobilized, and which has the immobilized carrier. A carrier immobilizing section is a recess having a bottom surface and an inclined surface; the carrier is disposed on the bottom surface of the recess; and the invention is related to the carrier support member and a method for detecting the interaction of the bio-related molecule which uses the member.
