PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update latest presence information while suppressing power consumption. SOLUTION: In the communication terminal, a wireless telephone communication part and a wireless LAN communication part communicate with other communication terminals, a storage part stores the presence information of a plurality of communication services exchanged with the other communication terminal through the wireless telephone communication part and the wireless LAN communication part, and a control part executes control so as to transmit a presence updating notice including the presence information of the plurality of communication services to the other communication terminal using one of the communication parts according to the priority of the communication parts when the presence information of one of the communication services is updated.
