The invention relates to a method for increasing the ESD pulse stability of an electrical component. A prepared electrical component is seasoned by means of a seasoning pulse generated by a pulse generator. The seasoning of the component improves the degradation of an electrical characteristic curve by ESD pulses occurring during the operation of the electrical component.
