<p>A satellite navigation receiver with flexible acquisition and tracking engine architecture. The acquisition engine has a reconfigurable delay line: single entity or different sections, configurable to search different satellites, a single Doppler frequency, and full CA code in parallel. When configured for different sections, each section searches a partial CA code. Multiple Doppler mode, multiple satellite vehicles, multiple Doppler frequencies, and partial CA code can be searched in parallel. The CA code sections can be time-multiplexed into a correlator for full CA code correlation when over-clocked. The tracking engine includes parallel channels. The channel taps lock onto different delays. During tracking, a tap locked on to the peak center, leaves the other taps free for peak shape determination, detecting earlier arrivals for line of sight component, and noise floor estimation. The tracking engine is configurable to help in fine acquisition, false trigger detection, and/or fast reacquisition.</p> |
