<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparator in which the amount of an offset and variation in the same in comparators, which result in variation in output codes, are suppressed to reduce the variation in the output codes, and to provide a method of calibrating the comparator, a solid-state imaging device, and a camera system. <P>SOLUTION: The comparator 200 includes: a signal input terminal; capacitors C211, C212 connected between the signal input terminal and a signal line; and switching transistors PT213, PT214 for calibration which are turned on/off to periodically charge the capacitors with a voltage difference between a signal voltage and an operating point of the comparator 200, wherein an on-resistance of the switching transistors PT213, PT214 which transition to an on state when performing the charging is dynamically controlled by a control pulse having a limited amplitude. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
