PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of surely generating electrostatic mist, improving safety, preventing catching caused by the intrusion of fingers to an upper section of a bypass blowoff pipe, and suppressing a probability of demounting and fracture. SOLUTION: An indoor unit of this air conditioner having suction openings 2a, 2b for sucking indoor air, a prefilter 5 for removing dust included in the air sucked from the suction openings 2a, 2b, a heat exchanger 6 exchanging heat with the sucked air, an air distribution fan 8 for distributing the heat-exchanged air exchanged by the heat exchanger 6, a supply opening 10 for supplying the air distributed from the air distribution fan 8, and a main flow channel 20 making the suction openings 2a, 2b communicate with the supply opening 10 is further provided with a partitioning wall 46c separated from the main flow channel 20, and an electrostatic atomizer 18A for generating electrostatic mist to a separated open space, and furthermore, a protective wall 22f is disposed in a state of closing an upper spatial section H of the bypass supply pipe 22d of the electrostatic atomizer 18A.
