<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct music data corresponding to hearing ability characteristics of an individual by simple processing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A measuring part 16 measures the frequency characteristics of the hearing ability of a user formed at a plurality of frequency points. A level shift part 18 level-shifts the frequency characteristic value of the hearing ability for a fixed amount in a prescribed band so that the measured frequency characteristic value of the hearing ability and an ideal frequency characteristic value get close at at least one frequency point in ideal frequency characteristics. A derivation part 20 derives a difference value between the level-shifted frequency characteristic value of the hearing ability and the ideal frequency characteristic value at each frequency point, then weighting the difference value at each frequency point by a weighting coefficient for each frequency point, and thus derives a correction coefficient for each frequency point. A filter part 22 corrects sound signals on the basis of the correction coefficient and a level shift amount when level-shifting the frequency characteristic value of the heating ability.
