<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin hopper capable of reducing frictional resistance between a coin and a guiding surface and preventing deformation and abrasion of a coin made of low-hardness material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The coin hopper comprises a rotating disk 20 having an extruding piece 39 for pushing a coin C, a base 16 placed in parallel with the rotating disk 20, a circular guiding surface 15 for guiding a peripheral surface of the coin C that rotates along with the rotating disk 20 while sliding over the base 16, and a first pin 50 and a second pin 52 protruding from the base, and thereby guides the coin C in the direction of the rotating disk 20. The coin hopper also comprises a fixed guide 58 and a moving guide 60, and thereby dispenses the coin C toward a coin sensor 78. The extruding piece 39 comprises a pushing part 42 and an extruding part 44, and the pushing part 42 is positioned on a straight line LA extending in the peripheral direction from a rotation axis line of the rotating disk 20 and in a plane including an intersection point with a circular arc Y having a radius of a distance from the rotation axis line to the center of the coin C guided by the guiding surface 15.
