The dishwasher (110) has a cleaning zone e.g. main washing zone (130), for admission of cleaning goods (111) with cleaning fluid, and a dishwasher basket (113) receiving the cleaning goods. A transport device (112) transports the dishwasher basket automatically in a transportation direction (116) through the cleaning zone. The dishwasher basket has a contactlessly readable electronic identifier (164), and a reader (166) reads information of the electronic identifier, where the dishwasher is designed to select a parameter of a washing program according to the information. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning of cleaning goods using a conveying dishwasher.
