<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indexable milling insert being a type that includes the upper side, the lower side, and two cutting edges, each including an individual cutting edge line, while being formed between the upper chip surface and a first clearance face which extends between the upper/lower sides and forms acute angles of a nominal clearance. <P>SOLUTION: An individual cutting edge includes a main edge while the main edge extends from the start end to the corner edge whose curvature radius is smaller than that of the main edge. A second clearance face having a uniform width is formed between a cutting edge line and the first clearance face. The second clearance face maximally has a width of 0.3 mm while having a clearance angle smaller than that of the first clearance face. The angle of the second clearance face is continuously reduced from the start end toward the corner edge.
