PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometrics device for shortening an authentication time while maintaining a self-authentication ratio.

SOLUTION: A biometrics device 1 is provided with: a light source part 100 for emitting the rays of light to an analyte in order to pick up the skin surface pattern image and vein pattern image of the analyte; an image pickup part 200 for picking up the skin surface pattern image and vein pattern image of the analyte; an evaluation part 402 for evaluating the relative position of the pickup skin surface pattern image of the analyte with a template; and an authentication part 500 for comparing at least the pickup vein pattern image of the analyte with the template for authentication based on the evaluation result of the evaluation part 402.
