<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer unit for reducing set force for positioning the transfer unit for an image forming apparatus body and contributing to improvement of operability. <P>SOLUTION: A lever member 66 is rotatably provided on a secondary transfer unit 60 having a secondary transfer roller 5. The lever member 66 includes an engaging part 68a engaged with a stud 74 of the image forming apparatus side, and a contact part 67b contacted on a both-face unit 15. The secondary transfer unit 60 is rotated by interlocking with closing operation of the both-face unit 15. When the secondary transfer roller 5 is contacted on an intermediate transfer belt 11, the lever member 66 is rotated, the engaging part 68a is engaged with the stud 74, and the secondary transfer unit 60 is positioned with respect to the image forming apparatus body. The set force (positioning operation force) is reduced by a lever principle due to a difference (lever ratio) between a distance from a rotation support point 65 to the contact part 67b and a distance from the rotation support point 65 to the engaging part 68a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
