PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of being easily operated in ultrasonic diagnosis. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes a monitor 63 having first and second display areas 68 and 69 for displaying image data generated in an image data generating part 4; a support 64 for turnably supporting the monitor 63; a detector 65 for detecting the angle of the monitor 63 relative to the support 64; and a display data generating part 5 for generating display data to be displayed in the first and second display areas 68 and 69. The display data generating part 5 generates diagnostic display data for an operator, or subject display data for a subject P, based on the angle information from the detector 65.
