PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid container which can be attached easily and certainly to a liquid consumption device. SOLUTION: The liquid container comprises a container body 2 in which a liquid supply port 3 is formed, and a container side fixing structure 7 which cooperates with a device side fixing structure provided at the container attachment section in the state that the liquid container 1 is attached to the container attachment section and regulates movement of the liquid container 1 in the drawing direction. The container side fixing structure 7 has a guide groove 16 into which the engaging pin of the device side fixing structure is inserted and guided at the time of attachment/detachment operation of the liquid container 1 to/from the container attachment section. The guide groove 16 includes an engaging portion 18 with which the engaging pin engages in the state that the liquid container 1 is attached to the container attachment section thus regulating movement of the liquid container 1 in the drawing direction. At the inlet 16a of the guide groove 16, an inlet slope 22 which inclines so that the depth of groove may become shallower gradually is formed in the direction of movement of the engaging pin which moves relatively following to the inserting operation of the liquid container 1 for the container attachment section.
