<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set for reducing noise, by utilizing either a call section for a handset transmission portion or a hand-free microphone. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The telephone set includes a handset, a hand-free microphone, a speaker, a call determining portion for determining a voice input portion, a phase inverting portion for inverting the phase of a noise signal, and an adding portion for synthesizing a voice signal from the voice input portion determined by the call determining portion and the phase-inverted noise signal.
