<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booklet aligning device capable of loading booklets compactly and stably by combining a function of loading the booklets on a booklet loading means and a function of aligning the deviation of a bundle of the loaded booklets. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A first booklet conveying part and a second booklet conveying part are moved in mutually separating directions to drop the booklets placed on the first booklet conveying part and the second booklet conveying part onto the booklet loading means, and the first booklet conveying part and the second booklet conveying part are moved in mutually approaching directions to align the side faces of the booklets loaded on the upper part of the booklet loading means.
