<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device for moistening a sorbent for cleaning of flue gases e.g. sulfur oxides in sorption procedure, comprises a container (6) having an inlet (7) for the sorbent, a mechanism (8) for injection of water into the container and an outlet (9) arranged opposite to the inlet for moistened sorbent, and means for moving the moistened sorbent of the inlet toward the outlet. The movement means are formed by a transverse shaft (10, 10', 10'') arranged parallel to the direction of motion. The inlet is formed by a flow channel diagonally in the container. The outlet is attached directly to a line guiding the flue gas. The container comprises a cover, which is formed in the area of the mechanisms for injection of water. The mechanisms are connected with a source of compressed air.
