<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate vector data with resolution of quality without deterioration even if outputting the vector data from any apparatus on a network, even when the vector data contain resolution-dependent data. <P>SOLUTION: When spooling the vector data, an MFP 1, receiving PDL (Page Description Language) data containing resolution information on data processing resolution from a PC (Personal Computer) 2, analyzes the resolution information, and determines processing resolution used when an image forming apparatus performs resolution-dependent processing (S1502-S150).
