<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology controlling deactivation of a catalyst during catalyst temperature rise treatment, a regeneration treatment of a particulate filter, and sulfur poisoning recovery treatment of NOx catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with a catalyst having oxidation capacity, a means supplying HC to the catalyst, a means supplying CO to the catalyst, a means acquiring catalyst temperature, and a catalyst temperature control means controlling temperature of the catalyst to target temperature by supplying HC and/or CO to the catalyst. The catalyst temperature control means controls HC supply quantity and CO supply quantity based on temperature difference between acquired catalyst temperature and target temperature. When the catalyst temperature is kept at the target temperature, CO is supplied if temperature difference exceeds reference value. When catalyst temperature is raised toward target temperature, HC supply quantity and CO supply quantity are controlled based on temperature difference change speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
