PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire molding die which is designed for inhibiting cracks generated in a buttress part and a pneumatic tire molded by this molding die. SOLUTION: An annular circumferential groove 5 which continues, extending circumferentially in a mold and a plurality of diametral grooves 6 which cross the circumferential groove 5 intermittently spaced circumferentially, with at least, one of the end parts extending beyond the buttress region R, are arranged on the molding surface 4 corresponding to the buttress region R defined as covering the range (0.55 to 0.75)×S toward the diametral inside from the tread outer circumferential surface Q, when the diametral distance from the tire maximum width position P to the tread outer circumferential surface Q, of the side molding surface where the side part of the tire is molded, is given as S. In addition to the above specifications, the tire molding die has a vent hole 7 formed running through the outside of the mold, at the end part of the side extending beyond the buttress region R of the diametral groove 6.
