<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and properly store a moving video file even when performing photographing for a long time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The camera includes an image sensor 3 for converting light converged by an optical lens 2 into an electrical signal, a time lapse image processing circuit 5b for generating still image data composed of pixels complying with an MPEG standard in each predetermined time interval on the basis of the converted electrical signal, a still image storage control circuit 9a for allocating a uniquely identifiable file name to the generated still image data and causing a still image data storage part 8a to store the still image data, a moving image conversion circuit 9b for generating a moving image file complying with the MPEG standard on the basis of still image data for the predetermined number of sheets read from the still image data storage part 8a when requested to generate the moving image file, and a moving image storage control circuit 9c for allocating a file name to the generated moving image file with a number system complying with an SD-Video standard and causing a moving image data storage part 8b to store the moving image file.
