<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize fuel supply action and improve a combustion state and exhaust emission in an internal combustion engine using a biofuel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 10 is provided with a fuel tank 30, a deteriorated fuel separation device 40, a branched fuel pipe 42, and a combustion device 46. Biofuel used as fuel for the internal combustion engine 10 is stored in the fuel tank 30. The deteriorated fuel separation device 40 separates deteriorated fuel contained in the biofuel. The separated deteriorated fuel is supplied to the combustion device 46 via the branched fuel pipe 42 and a deteriorated fuel tank 44. The combustion device 46 burns the deteriorated fuel at an upstream side of a catalyst 24 and warms up the catalyst 24 by the combustion gas. Consequently, normal fuel injection can be done by separating deteriorated fuel in the biofuel, and the catalyst 24 can be efficiently warmed up by using deteriorated fuel.
