<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet treating device easily catching a notice sound even during the operation of the device and high in productivity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a voice guidance function is in a notifying state, the conveying speed of sheets is reduced by a conveying speed changing means which is an operating sound changing means, or the conveyance spacing of sheets is enlarged by a conveying interval changing means which is the operating sound changing means, to reduce the operating sound made by the sheet treating device.
