The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a hydraulic binder from a compound based on calcium sulphate comprising a firing phase so as to reach a temperature between 220°C and 350°C; then a cooling phase, characterized by the fact that during the firing phase, quicklime is added to the compound based on calcium sulphate so as to obtain the formation of a mixture comprising anhydrite IV. Aluminous and/or siliceous minerals are added to the mixture comprising anhydrite IV, preferably during the cooling phase, so as to reduce the temperature to below 120°C. The invention will in particular find its application in the cement, concrete and plaster industries, and in inerting industrial waste and by-products. |
