<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus by which a document can be printed automatically in the same print layout as printed in the past even when the content of a print document is updated after the document has been printed in special print layout. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes a determining means configured to determine whether or not there is an updated page in the print document by comparing document history information including updated page information with print history information including print layout information of the print document. Then, it includes a generating means configured to generate a print image of a physical page including the updated page based on the print layout information of the print history information when the determining means determines that there is the update page, and a printing mans configured to execute printing based on the print image generated by the generating means.
