PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction device or the like performing suction processing by different suction pressure and also achieving simplification or the like of structure. SOLUTION: The suction device includes: n cap units 71 corresponding to n head units 42, which are constituted by assembling m kinds of caps 81 classified by functional liquids corresponding to m kinds of functional liquid droplet ejecting heads classified by the functional liquids in a cap plate 82; a contacting and separating mechanism 73 which makes the cap units 71 contact/separate for each cap unit 71; p suction means which suck the functional liquids from the respective caps for each cap unit and have different suction pressure respectively; m×n individual suction channels 93 whose upstream sides are connected to the respective caps; p main suction channels 98 whose downstream sides are connected to the respective suction means; and a joining channel system which joins the m×n individual suction channels 93 and makes the joined channels selectively communicate with the p main suction channels 98.
