<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when such a generator as a fuel cell is used in home, the cost merit of the generator can not be obtained because the generating power of the generator does not cope with variations in power consumption by home appliances and the use of a commercial power is required. <P>SOLUTION: In a generator control system, when a user alters the settings of appliances 200, in spite of the command of a controlling signal in response to the alteration, an appliance-drive controlling portion 320 forcibly controls the appliances 200 so that an increasing quantity of power consumption by the appliances 200, which is obtained from appliance-consuming-power measuring portions 210, does not exceed an increasing quantity of generating power by a generator 100, which is obtained from a generator-generating-power measuring portion 110.
