<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce such a phenomenon that transmission data of step-out straddles a slot which absolutely synchronizes when the step-out occurs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Radio equipment includes: a detecting means for detecting that a first state in which a first timing signal can be generated with first accuracy is shifted to a second state in which a second timing signal is generated in second accuracy lower than the first accuracy; and a control means for setting a short time duration in the maximum value of a time duration for performing carrier sensing in the first state so as to be used as a time duration for performing carrier sensing in the second state when the transition to the second state is detected.
