<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set automatically a threshold useful for properly adjusting sensibility only by a simple operation of a user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image movement detection method includes steps of displaying a moving image, indicating the start of automatic setting of sensibility, taking a picture of an amount of change in a moving image for a predetermined reference image over a plurality of frames on assumption that there is no movement in an image after automatic setting start is indicated, and determining a threshold for detecting a movement from the obtained amount of change.
