The liquid crystal layer (6) is changed between transparent and non-transparent state alternatively, by applying alternating current (AC). Two transparent electrically conductive layers (3,9) are provided with power supply electrodes between the transparent plates (1,11) made of silicate glass panes. Electrically conductive layers are respectively embedded between the transparent dielectric layers (2,4,8,10) comprising silicon dioxide. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing electrically switchable privacy glass pane.
