<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is prevented from getting larger in size, and suppresses speed variation of a photoreceptor so as to avoid deterioration of image quality caused thereby even when a sliding member is used over a long term. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 is equipped with: a flange 51 configured to fix the photoreceptor 11 on the surface of which an electrostatic latent image is formed while rotating; a frame 61 configured to rotatably hold the flange 51 through a rotary shaft 52; and the sliding member 63 provided in a sliding holder 62 held by the frame 61 and configured to rub the flange 51 by rotation of the photoreceptor 11.
