PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide discharge lamp device hardly affected by floating capacitance, solving a problem that unevenness is feared to be caused in discharge and light emission due to characteristics of the floating capacitance of a cold cathode discharge tube. SOLUTION: The discharge lamp device includes a resonance circuit part 9 composed of an inductor 7 and a resonance capacitor 8 and a discharge lamp part 10 connected with the resonance circuit part 9. The discharge lamp part 10 is composed of a cold cathode discharge tube 11 and a capacitance cancel unit 13 structured of two diodes 12 arranged in an antiparallel, connected on both ends of the tube.
