摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission device including a meshing means installed on a shaft in the V-groove bottom of each pulley and a driving force transmitting means meshed with the meshing means for transmitting the driving force, eliminating the risk of the meshing means attacking the transmitting means and free of the risk of obstructing the cooperative motion of the two means. SOLUTION: The continuously variable transmission device includes the driving force transmitting means (chain 13) set over between two pulleys (drive pulley 11 and driven pulley 12) with variable groove widths so that the rotational driving force of one pulley can be transmitted to the other. It further includes a part to be meshed (recess 17a) on the pulley wind side of the driving force transmitting means and a movable meshing part (movable teeth 16) so provided on the shaft of the pulley (pulley shaft part 14) as to be movable in the shaft in radial direction for emerging and retracting to/from the shaft part and put in the emerging condition so as to be able to mesh with the part to be meshed when the shifting region is at least in either the maximum Hi range or the maximum Lo range.
