<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device having a variable speed function for smooth transportation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An initial speed driving belt 29, an accelerating driving belt 30, a decelerating driving belt 31 and a final speed driving belt 32 installed in a moving passage for a pallet 9 are put between a front side travelling roller 7 and a member of a variable speed mechanism 16 to increase/reduce the rotating speed of the front side travelling roller 7.
